In the Limelight with Clarissa Burt interviews Sharon Lechter: Entrepreneur, Speaker, and Best-Selling Author
Clarissa: Hey everybody, it’s Clarissa here and you are In the Limelight with yet another exceptional guest. Not only is she a friend of mine, but she’s a friend to many. She’s known as the Lady of Grace. I took a look at a lot of the testimonials that are coming in on her behalf and they are all so lovely and kind. Because she is so lovely and kind, she is a mentor to many and a jack of many trades. May I say, this is a lady that I am very fortunate to call a friend of mine. It’s lovely to see her here on this podcast in this interview today. Hello Sharon Lechter, welcome to In the Limelight!
Clarissa: Hey everybody, it’s Clarissa here In the Limelight! Today I’ve got another spectacular entrepreneur for you to meet, but before we do that, I would like to remind you that anywhere you can, please like, subscribe, and share. Get the word out about the amazing people that I am interviewing because I really go far and wide to find the people that I think you’re going to learn the most from. Today we’ve got a lady who, if I say she’s an alpha female, I don’t think that’s a stretch. Let me just give you a little bit of a background here. She’s the founder of Kuli Kuli Foods. It’s moringa, a superfood I know and love. She found moringa when she was working for the Peace Corps as a volunteer. And of all things, she’s gotten her brand into Wal-Mart! So I want to know how you go from the Peace Corps through to the White House. By the way, she also wrote speeches or something along those lines for President Obama, I don’t know when the lady sleeps. Welcome, Lisa, and congratulations on all this amazing success! Just give me a little idea as to how and where it all started, and what was the light bulb moment?
You are in the limelight yet again! I have an extraordinary woman entrepreneur and for the very first time, I’m going to be doing an interview on a product I know very little about.
Clarissa: I’m really thrilled to learn more about it because there seems to be a lot of questions going on about what it is and where it’s legal. I’m talking to Autumn Shelton from Autumn Brands. Welcome Autumn Shelton and the world of cannabis.
You are in the limelight! We have another extraordinary entrepreneur. She’s a lady I’ve known for quite some time and what a powerhouse she is. She’s going to tell us exactly who she is and what she does. I thought it was interesting to get her on board in these conflicting, difficult times we seem to be going through on a global level, not just us here in the United States. She’s a consultant, teacher, speaker, coach, and a transformational specialist. Welcome, Leeza Steindorf.
Leeza Steindorf: Hi, thanks for having me.
Clarissa: I’m glad you are with us because of what times we are going through Leeza. I was watching something on the news this morning and you just can’t say anything anymore without offending someone. You can’t say anything anymore without being politically incorrect. Have we all become sensitive to everything?
Hey everybody, it’s Clarissa Burt! I love Rita Romano and you love her along with me because you’ve seen her probably different times on social media that we came out with a lovely, beautiful cookbook the “Italian Gluten Free Gastronomy Cookbook, ‘The art of savoring and preparing gluten-free dishes'” The story behind it is I lived in Italy for 30 years and found out the hard way that I am highly gluten intolerant, gluten-sensitive. Rita, on the other hand, is a world-renowned chef with many restaurants and cookbooks. We collaborated and we’re so thrilled with the book. It’s got 70 different recipes in it, each has a beautiful photograph that Rita took. Every recipe is gluten-free and we get the internationality of Rita with her being Italian. I’m thrilled because we got to come out with something I don’t think has ever been done which is the marriage between gluten-free and Italian cooking. Food in Italy is full of gluten. You have pizza, pasta, and pane.
Here In the Limelight today we have one of the Men We Love. We have a lot in common because as you all know, I lived in Italy for 30 years and Ron is back from Sardinia where he had some awesome exchanges and a little vacation. He’s been a brand in his own right for the last 40 years working as a salesperson at Fred Segal. Mostly in California, am I wrong when I say that?
Ron Robinson: I used to work for Fred between ’68 & ’78 and I ended up as vice president of the company. Currently, he owns none of the stores, he sold the name to another company and they’ve since licensed some things out.
Here In the Limelight, we have another extraordinary guest coming in from Quito, Ecuador but he is originally from Holland. Gorgeous place and it’s the home of flowers. Not only, but flowers for the most part. Peter Persoon, the founder and CEO of Natural Fragrance Rose, white being my favorite color. We have this beautiful pink rose in the studio and ever since I’ve opened it up, it has changed my idea about what home fragrance should be about. Tell us how the idea came about, what it’s all about and how it’s changing fragrance for the home.
It’s Melissa and Clarissa. We are here In the Limelight everybody! I’m thrilled because I read this gal’s bio and I was exhausted at the end of the first page. I don’t know how much more a young person is supposed to fit into their life. I’m twice her age and I’ve done a lot of stuff, but I don’t know if I’ve done quite as much as she has. Welcome to the show Melissa Vale, we’re excited to hear your story because we take our show from the entrepreneurial end of women and their stories, their triumphs, some of the difficulties and stepping stones; all the stuff that makes up that wonderful world of entrepreneurialism. You started as a model with Ford then you went to Broadway. Wait a minute, what?
In the Limelight today we have another extraordinary woman entrepreneur, a lovely lady working in the beauty industry. Welcome, Kim Wellen! You have an idea that has come back with a vengeance. I remember using these when I was younger they came and went quickly. When I think, K Beauty got ahold of this, it had an avalanche again of notoriety and fame. I’m talking about sheet masks, they are so glorious and so luscious. I’ve got five of them here in front of me. I cannot wait to try them. You are the founder of Mantra Mask, you have not only taken a sheet mask, which is already luxurious and lovely all by itself, but infused different ingredients with a CBD base. CBD, what is it? If I put this on my face, am I going to get high? Why don’t we start there and how the idea came about?
