Known as one of the top thirty supermodels in the world, Clarissa Burt is also an award-winning media personality with more than 25 years’ experience in the modeling, fashion, and television arenas. Soon after signing with Wilhelmina New York, she moved to Milan where she quickly began appearing on hundreds of magazine covers such as Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, and Cosmopolitan to name a few. Her signature walk was seen on most of the major worldwide runways including Milan, Rome, Paris, New York, and Japan. Cosmetic houses such as Dior, Revlon, Caritá, Helena Rubenstein, and “Orlane” selected Clarissa as the “Face” of their global beauty campaigns. Clarissa’s live television productions have included The Miss Universe Pageant Italy and Behind the Scenes with “The Miss for Miss Universe” among others.

Dear Future Super Model,

If you were to ask me what were some of the happiest days of my life, I would have to tell you they were my “modeling years”. Back in the early 80’s I had the good fortune to work in Italy during the “Made in Italy” years in Milan and Rome, Paris and New York and work on the runways of some of the great fashion icons of this century such as Armani, Versace, Valentino, Ferre, Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, Ungaro, Yves, St Laurent, Dior, Bill Blass, Oscar del la Renta, Calvin Klein, etc.

Off the runway, working in front of the camera I worked with some of the world’s most important and prestigious photographers. I have been on the cover of many European magazines and was the face of Orlane Cosmetics worldwide for 10 years. I can very safely say that I know the business of modeling very well.

After the modeling years I started to work on television in Europe where I was able to use my singing, dancing and emceeing talents and eventually opened my own television production company where, among other things, I produced The Miss Universe Pageant Italy for 5 years. I absolutely loved helping those girls be the best they could be!

When it comes to being on stage as a model, actress, singer, or emcee, I can honestly tell you that is my true passion. And now I want to pass what I’ve learned over the last 25 years on to you.

Since I was always being asked about modeling business and girls are frequently asking me to train them, in 2001 I started The International Model University in Rome Italy where I taught girls winning runway techniques, how to properly apply make-up, and how to dress for any occasion and how to pose correctly for photographic shoots. And now it’s your time to shine! You don’t have to want to be a model to come to The International Model University, but if you should choose to do so, you will surely improve your personal and professional image.

The International Model University will teach you every aspect of what it takes to be a model and to work in the modeling industry. Who knows? Maybe you could be the winner of The Clarissa International Model Search and Awards!
